We are travelling to Japan for 2 weeks in September. The (rough) itinerary would look as follows:
Day 1: Tokyo
Day 2: Tokyo - Kamakura
Day 3: Tokyo
Day 4: Tokyo - Nikko
Day 5: Takayama
Day 6: Takayama
Day 7: Kanazawa
Day 8: Kyoto
Day 9: Kyoto - Nara
Day 10: Kyoto
Day 11: Kyoto - Himeji
Day 12: Kyoto - Hiroshima - Miyajima (maybe sleep in Hiroshima?)
Day 13: Kyoto?
Day 14: Tokyo (travel home at 9PM)
My question would be if the 2 week JRP pass makes sense for us? Its price is JPY46k vs individual…
Would anyone be so kind as to review my itinerary for October please?
Arrive into Osaka airport and take train straight to Kyoto. Overnight in Ryokan Capsule Hotel (private bathrooms).
Travel to My Koya (overnight in Koya, no accommodation booked yet).
Travel from Koya to Hiroshima, overnight in Hiroshima (no accommodation booked yet).
Travel from Hiroshima to Kanazawa, overnight in Kanazawa (no accommodation booked yet).
We are going to Japan next week and although I did some research on the money I will be expecting to pay per day I would appreciate a second opinion from anyone who can advice us.
I know that the expenses from person to person vary in holidays and nobody can be precise as some people are more demanding and some are less or traveling on a budget. We are not the people to pop in the McDonalds or junk food (although it happens but rarely) but neither the people to go to real top-end…
I am thinking about going to the 6-day-5-night itinerary hike from the Kumano reservation system (http://www.tb-kumano.jp/en/kumano-kodo/)during this late December/Early January. Below are my questions and concerns. I really want to get more opinions. I appreciate all your responses in advance! If anyone had been there, please share your experience! Thanks!
- Weather. Maybe around the beginning of January. I am worried that it might be too cold and slippery. How steep the road might be? …
We want to ride the - Kibiji Bike Ride (near Okayama) and wanted to know if it is posible to rent toddler seats ( 4 year oldd) that is assembled on the back of the bike (not a baby seat that connects to the front of the bike)
After a little airfare advice if I could! Planning a trip to Tokyo, not fussed on date really, thinking early-mid next year. main qualifier is I don't want too long of a stopover, have kids and partner, both likely to get bored and or cranky.
We are thinking Jetstar for cost reasons and the possibility of direct flights from MEL or at very least a reasonable stop over. They seem to be about the best bet, but happy to hear other suggestions!
A) anyone have any ideas when the next decent sale…
I am looking for an accomodation for the night of 22nd of October in kanawaza.
On 23rd of october I have find out that there is a marathon and everything is full.
Can anyone help me to find a place to sleep? maybe you have some e mails ....
Thank you !
Hey gals and guys
I just wanted to share a quick report of my 1 month trip to Japan in June 2016.
We entered the country with a cheap Air Asia flight from Bangkok to Osaka / Kansai. The airline once again didn't dissapoint us and at any costs it pays off to take such a budget flight into Japan. Tiny tip for the entry: Don't show up too shabby at the immigration and have a confirmation of your return flight to be on the safe side. There was a backpacker guy with Moses beard in the same queue…
Hi! I am planning to do a backpacking trip to Japan for 10 days from Oct 27 - Nov 7 (since Oct 27 and Nov 7 are dedicated for flying in and out).I am flying in Haneda and flying out of Osaka. I am hoping to see much of Japan in that span, excluding the theme parks (USJ and Disney World). I would also like to go as many natural sites as possible. My budget would be 1500 SGD excluding the plane tickets. Would that be enough? Any suggestions/ tips would be greatly appreciated.
I have been using my Visa Card at 7/11s for man years now..
This morning I wanted again to withdraw 100.000 Yen from my european bankaccount and was informed that withdrawals have been limited to 50.000
When I called them I was told they had done so for security reasons, which he was not able to explain any further, why the theft of 50.000 is acceptable and a theft of 100.000 is not, and double the fee of course has not to be paid by 7/11.
I have always only used 7/11, so I would like to know…
