Kawashima Tōfu information
On the shopping street near the station, this renowned tofu shop has been in business since the Edo period and serves set meals starring tofu plus other seasonal specialities (reservations required) around the 10-seat counter in a jewel box of a back room. Soft, warm, fresh – this is tofu as good as it gets. There's also frozen tofu 'soft cream' for ¥300.
