   A short walk from JR Osaka Station, this popular restaurant in the Ohatsutenji-dōri shopping arcade is a good place to try that great Osaka favourite: okonomiyaki (savoury Japanese 'pancakes' with a variety of fillings). They're cooked on a griddle right in front of you and there's even a vegetarian menu. There's a small English sign.

   A foreigner-friendly okonomiyaki specialist with an English menu. There is a map in the middle of the food court, and Okonomiyaki Sakura is Nos 10 and 16 on the map. Look for the glass sliding doors and the counter.
