This brand new luxury hotel near Universal Studios Japan is great for families with children. The theme of the hotel is 'water'. Everything is blue in the hotel, including the inside of the elevators.
Hotel Universal Port is a stylish and well-run hotel right on the doorstep of Universal Studios Japan. The entire hotel is pervaded with marine images, starting with a huge fish tank behind the front desk (this celebrates the location of the hotel and theme park, out on an island in Osaka Bay). Everything here is bright and spacious. The employees are very kind, friendly and well-mannered, and seem genuinely pleased to welcome their guests. All speak at least some English. The rooms are normal size for this class of hotel, but the beds are on the large size, which is good for 'giant' foreign visitors. This hotel is brand new, so it feels very clean and fresh. It's a great base for those taking their children to Universal Studios Japan.
