Tadg's is our favourite bar in Kyoto. It's a delightfully convivial spot which plays host to a good crowd of expats and Japanese every night of the week. This is an easy spot for solo travellers to enter - you'll soon be drawn into the conversation. Some evenings there are open-mike nights and live Irish music.

    Worst 'pub' in Japan. Spend your money elsewhere!

    fireroads does not recommend this,

    the beers are well overpriced compared to other kansai pubs offering the same microbrews, and the owner is an arrogant jerk. the food is pretty good if you can get past the first two points! this is a contender for the worst 'pub' in Japan. there are plenty of better choices in kyoto. spend your money elsewhere!
