I am just starting to plan a trip to Japan next spring. I will be traveling with two other people, and we will probably have two weeks or maybe 16 days. We want to see Tokyo, Kyoto (with a day trip to Nara), and a third place that is a smaller town with an onsen. I'm looking for advice on two sets of questions: 1) How should we divide our time between Tokyo, Kyoto, and the third destination? Would 4 full days in Tokyo be too few? Would 5 full days be much better? How many days do we need…

Hi everyone,
I'll have 8 days to explore Japan. My concern is I still don't have an idea where can I get a data connection for the whole stay. Also, I prefer the data sim over the pocket wifi because of it's accessibility and I only have a debit card. Where can I buy an affordable data sim (with 2-3GB data allowance consumable for 8 days) if I'll be arriving at the Kansai International Airport probably at 9pm? Replies are deeply appreciated. Thank you very much.

Hi everyone,
I'll be staying 3 days in Osaka but I will only have 1 whole day to have a city tour since I will be arriving late on the 1st day (probably around 9pm) and would likely want to spare my last at Universal Studios Japan for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter (Yea, Potterhead alert) So I seek your smart inputs/suggestions/places to reconsider/replace regarding my Day 2: 1 whole day itinerary and what transpo would be efficient. My 3 day accomodation will be in 4 Chome Minato-ku…

Hello

I am leaving to Japan in a week! Although I already have an idea of the itinerary there are still some parts missing. So I want your opinion in everything. Fell free to elaborate!

NOTE: I don't want to waste money on bullet trains

So I am going to Japan from the beginning of October to mid-December, though until the** 27th of October (around 3 weeks) I will be volunteering/working in Nagoya** and have only 2 days off per week and I will also be work exchanging in Kyoto for around 3

I just read someone else's post asking about changing Euros. The answers were great except can you describe what a ticket shop is and what it looks like? What do they sell? How can we find one outside the Shinjuku station if we don't speak Japanese? Thanks. (I posted this question on the other person's site in the "reply" field so don't know if that will work.)

Hi all!

I'm currently planning a trip to Okinawa between 25th Dec - 5th Jan. I've been googling and trying to find out information from guidebooks, but haven't had much luck gathering the information needed.
I'll have about 10 days, and I would like to ask if it's worth heading to Okinawa for 10 days in winter?

Initially, we wanted to explore Okinawa's main island for 10 days, but there honestly doesn't seem to be much to do on the Main Island apart from Naha, the aquarium and the Peace…
