Getting around
Buses to Hakodate Airport depart frequently from just outside Hakodate station (¥300, 20 minutes).
A taxi from Hakodate Station to the ferry terminal costs around ¥1500. City bus 16 runs much more frequently between the ferry terminal and the Goryō-kaku-kōen-mae tram stop, from where you can catch a tram to Hakodate station.
Single-trip fares on trams are ¥200; buses are ¥250. One-day (¥1000) and two-day (¥1700) passes offer unlimited rides on both trams and buses (¥600 for tram alone) and are available at the tourist information centres or from the drivers. A pass is also good for the bus to the peak of Hakodate-yama.
