Around Nagoya/Japan

Introducing Around Nagoya

In the suburbs of Nagoya, outlying Aichi-ken and the southern part of Gifu-ken, there are some interesting destination museums and towns reached easily by train. Gifu city, benefitting from recent redevelopment and a pretty position at the foothills of the mountains, is worth considering as an alternative base to Nagoya. Neighbouring Inuyama boasts National Treasures – its castle and teahouse. Both Inuyama and Gifu city are famed for the spectacle of ukai (fishing with trained cormorants).
