Apple Valley Guesthouse
Lonely Planet review
Patrick and Lucille Lee, the Chinese-Jamaican couple who run Apple Valley Park, keep bunks and private rooms in the 18th-century red-roofed great house south of town. Guests have kitchen privileges, but there is also an open-air restaurant (mains J$200 to J$600) serving traditional Jamaican fare. If you catch carp, silver perch or red snapper yourself, Lucille will cook it for you. Both park and guest house are reached from behind the police station.
Our independent authors have visited Apple Valley Guesthouse and selected this as one of our recommended guesthouses in Maggotty.
