I am wondering how much i should budget for a few weeks on treasure beach. All i need is a bed and somewhere cheap to eat and maybe a couple of beers in the evening. I was hoping i could get by on around £50 a day is this possible, or maybe another part of the island?
My boyfriend and I are travelling to Jamaica this April and are considering renting a car as a way of getting around the island. I've read pretty diverging opinions about this - ranging from 'no one should EVER consider renting a car in Jamaica' to 'renting a car is the best way to be independent and save time'.
We're from the UK so driving on the left is what we're used to and my boyfriend (who would be the one driving) is a confident and experienced driver (though hasn't driven outside of the…
Dear all, In june we are travelling for 16 days to Jamaica (with 4 people). We really want to avoid all-in hotels and crowded places. We fly to Kingston and are thinking to start our tour with exploring the capital city, to explore the blue mountains, some jungle parts, East Jamaica and South Jamaica. We don't want to rush it and stay 3 or 4 nights in every place. Does it sound realistic? Now I'm looking for a fun guide/driver who can accompany us... I like to support local communities or small…
I am planning 2 weeks in Jamaica in March (together with 2 other girls).
We have created very intense plan and wondering if feasible...
3 days in Negril (beach, diving, Booby Cay)
2 days in TB (beach, Aligator Cay, Black River Safari)
3 days in Kingston (town, Port Royal + Lime Cay)
3 days Blue Mountain (peak, coffee plantation, Port Antonio, Blue Lagoon)
3 days somewhere on the way to MoBay (glistering waters, Blue Hole, Dunns falls)
Do you think it is realistic? Any advices, something to…

Going to Negril in about 2 weeks. We like to do Yoga at the Negril Yoga Center but I would prefer staying at a hotel with a nice beach in walking distance to the yoga center. Any recommendations please?
I will be in Kingston for the weekend of the 25th of February for business and have for a long time wanted to do the Blue Mountains hike. Unfortunately all of the tour groups that I have managed to find thus far ask for a minimum of two people. Does anyone know of any tour groups that would allow me to hike to the Blue Mountains peak as a solo hiker or to latch on to an existing group of hikers?
I'm a single traveller visiting Jamaica from February 23- March 7th. I was thinking of going to Negril and Treasure Beach. I'm not a resort fan but would love to find an accommodation close to the beach. Do you recommend booking ahead from the US or will it be relatively easy (and possibly cheaper?) to find a hotel once I get there?
Not looking for something fancy. Clean, quiet and close to the beach would be most important.
Thank you very much!
I will be flying into Kingston February 14th
And need ride to Port Antonio.
I was given a price of $140 Usd.
It seems a lot of money for the distance.
Is this the usual rate or any suggestions of
Less expense? Thank you much.
