As is often the case in Jamaica, the diamonds are in the rough – or in this case, the 2nd floor of a shopping mall. By ‘diamond’ we mean fantastic cheap vegetarian fare, fruit juice so fresh it tastes like liquid sunlight (OK, it was a long, hot and dusty day when we stopped in) and silky smoothies. Curry tofu and soy patties are delicious, even if you’re a dedicated carnivore.
