Lonely Planet review for Ae Oche
Architecture students and budget-minded foodies converge here for a choice of 70-plus wood-fired pizzas and ale at excellent prices. Extreme eaters order the lip-buzzing mangiafuoco (fire-eater) with hot salami, Calabrese peppers and Tabasco sauce, while Palladio scholars stick with the classic white estiva with rocket, seasoned Grana Padano cheese and cherry tomatoes.

Simple, Cheap, Underwhelming
dgilks recommends this,
I stopped in at Ae Oche for a take out Pizza while in Venice. The I has a Pizza 'Quattro Stagione' with Buffalo Mozzarella, Artichoke, Mushroom, Prosciutto and Olives. It was tasty and fresh though, like most Italian pizza, soft and slightly moist.
The service was friendly and quick with just enough time between ordering and service for me or drink a Spritz. The waiter who took my take away order was kind enough to throw in a can of Coke as well.
While I didn't eat in the atmosphere was not bad. The restaurant was decked out in a rustic manner with lots of bare wood. It was very quite while I was there.
Value wise it was cheap (for Venice) and satisfying though lacking in culinary fireworks.
