Lonely Planet review
Your palazzo hideaway awaits beneath the arcade of historic Palazzo Barbarigo, just off the Grand Canal. These cosy rooms have outsized baroque swagger, with damask walls, gilded mirrors, bow-legged vanities and fanciful chandeliers, plus small TVs and humming air-conditioning. Angle for the snug corner room in a lemon-lime colour scheme with views over a side canal, or the little yellow garret room with a wrought-iron bed and exposed timber beams. Reception closes around 2pm, so ask questions over breakfast.
Our independent authors have visited Locanda Barbarigo and selected this as one of our recommended accommodation in Sestiere di San Marco.
