Palazzo Comunale information
The restrained, 14th-century Palazzo Comunale serves as the grand centrepiece of the square in which it sits – notice how its concave facade mirrors the opposing convex curve. From the palazzo soars a graceful bell tower, the Torre del Mangia , 102m high and with 500-odd steps. The views from the top are magnificent.
Entry to the ground-floor central courtyard is free.
