I am planning a month long vacation from April 6th till about May 4th.

First two weeks we will be travelling alone (2 people) and plan to visit Malta, or possibly split it between Malta and Sardinia or Malta and Sicily. During Easter (April 16th), we hope to spend it somewhere where we can see a nice Easter procession (originally I was thinking of doing that in Malta).

The last two weeks of our trip we will travel together with our friends visiting the main sights in Italy. For example, so far…

Hi All,
I would like to visit a marble quarry in the proximity of Carrara, I've seen several options and would like to have feedback from anyone who has already been there. We are 2 guys around 30, we have our own car hence we have no issues with the transportation. There is a quarry called "Cava 177" close to Colonnata, there I could go with my own car and just visit the site for few euros but I have seen they also offer more extensive tours to different quarries and these are much more pricey…

Hello!
I'm a female solo traveler who will have a short trip to Rome in April. Will get to the Fiumicino airport on Saturday at around 23:00. I just got me a one way ticket to Rome and am planning to be there for around 3 days or so (the time can be variable so that i haven't booked my return way yet), getting to some utmost touristy attractions like the Vatican city same as Vatican museums, Sistine Chapel, St. Peter's basilica, Trevi Fountain, Colosseum, Pantheon, atc... Still haven't got me yet…

Hello,
We are going to Sicily end of August/early September and plan to fly in and out of Catania. I am trying to figure out the best route from Syracuse to Lipari (assuming Milazzo port) and back from Lipari to Catania.
I believe we can book a shared transfer from Lipari to Catania (either city or airport) but am not sure the best way to make it in one day from Syracuse to Lipari- probably won't have a hire car. Many thanks for the advice.

Hi,

My girlfriend and I are struggling to work out where to spend 3-4 days (2-3 nights) hiking in the Dolomite region.
From our research, Cortina D'Ampezzo to Agordo (part of the Alta Via 1) sounds like a nice region we could look at covering in this time, but we'd really appreciate some further suggestions and have no friends that have traveled in this region.

Here's our vital info for recommendations:
1. We're open to Eastern or Western Dolomites, though leaning toward Eastern
2. We're in our…

Hi there, I've read all the posts about how to get from Rome Ciampino into the city, but we are only doing the reverse journey, so I would like to know what's best to get to Ciampino from Termini.we have 3 children, (3,3,4), do they have to pay onterravision bus? Also, where do you get the tickets for the airport bus at termini station, can you buy them in the bus?
As we are travelling with 3 young kids, im assuming the bus is the best option - or how straightforward is the option of taking…

My wife and I will be exploring Tuscany for our honeymoon in late April. We are staying in Florence, Siena, and Montepulciano. We plan to hire a car at the airport in Florence (to avoid the infamous ZTL's, other apparent headaches that come with driving in a large Italian city) and take our time exploring the Chianti region via SR 222. I understand that taking the bus between these places (especially Florence and Siena) is easier, however we are specifically hiring a car to have the flexibility…

I am planning a trip to Italy from 24th May to 5th or so of June. My family will join me till 1st of June, and then I'll be travelling solo for rest of the trip.

I love mountaineering, and have been thinking of which mountains to climb, given the amount of time i'll have (4-5 days). Do you guys have any suggestions on itinerary planning? There are so many mountains in the Italian alps that I am super confused. How easy or difficult is to get to these mountains from major city centers? Will I…

My wife and I have 2 weeks in Italy, flying in and out of Venice. We really want to see and hike some in the Dolomites for a few days. I know that early May is a bit on the early side for the weather, but it is the only time we have available, plus it should not be crowded.

We are well travelled globally, but it will be our first time in Italy. We are fit enough for almost anything, but only day hikes so we can enjoy the scenic small towns and amazing food at night.

Any cute, owner-run…

Hi,
We are a family with kids ages 3 and 9 traveling to Italy the first week of July. We will be there 11 nights and flying into and out of MXP/Milan.

We love offbeat things, beautiful views, lush, green countryside, mountains-to-sea views, turquoise waters, castles, forts, boats, snorkeling, swimming, caves, rafts, etc.. Of course casual good food, too, playgrounds, gelato, you get the picture.

I've sketched out a rough itinirary and would love to hear thoughts on it.
1. Day one (don't want to…
