Hi

I plan on taking the FL1 from FCO to Trastevere and return.
On the way from Trastevere to FCO, where can I buy a ticket for the train? Is it in the station? Or do I need to get it from a tabacchi? If yes, how early do they open? I will probably need to take a train around 6 am.

Thanks

Ansh

Hi Thorntree-ers,

We (my partner and I) are looking for advice for a tour of the Gulf of Naples/Amalfi Cost region. The itinerary we're planning looks like this:

Day 0: Start in Naples
Day 1: Sorrento (from Naples)
Day 2: Sorrento (possible day trip or overnight to Capri)
Day 3: Positano (from Sorrento)
Day 4: Amalfi (from Positano)
Day 5: Amalfi
Day 6: Naples (from Amalfi, via Pompeii)

Specific questions:
1. Should we stay in Positano or just skip it and visit for the day?
2. Too much or too…

3) Is it possible to see Verona in this time frame as well?

I would like to know the Sunday hours of the Cathedral and Cloisters, and the time of services. The LP guide said that at the time of written the 389 was temporarily out of service - is this true today? Any restaurant suggestion? Thank for your help. Bill

Hi all

I am after the most scenic option to get from San Remo to Genoa. So... train or drive.

Some background...

  • there will be three of us travelling, 2 adults and a 6 year old

  • we need to do it in one day

  • we will be travelling early July

Ultimately I don't mind either, there are different freedoms with both transport options with a 6 year old, but would like the most scenic option.

Thanks in advance for any recommendations.

Kym

Hi all,

I will be travelling to Milan in Oct 2016 and have some questions as follows:

  1. I have a transit in Jeddah (connection for 9 hours in the day). Is there anything worth seeing during the connection flight?

a. Is there a mobile/desktop app which displays the stop-by-stop information for the bus/tram service which I will be taking?

i. Otherwise, what is the best way to…

Hey everyone.

I'm currently weighing up where to travel for the first three weeks of August. It'll be Eastern Europe or Italy I reckon. I know Eastern Europe will much cheaper, but I'm just curious if Italy will be too expensive for me right now.

I would be staying in hostels, using buses/trains to get from town to town and eating as cheap as possible. I'm also not a big drinker and I wouldn't bother seeing a lot of night life/clubs. However, I'd probably choose to see most tourist attractions…
