Lonely Planet review for Giardino Garibaldi

Surrounded on all sides by elegant palazzi, gentrified Piazza Marina (M0154) is Palermo's quietest piazza, and its small Giardino Garibaldi encloses Palermo's oldest tree, a venerable 25m-high, 150-year-old ficus benjamin. Dedicated to Garibaldi, the square has witnessed its fair share of bloody executions.

Nice little park with a historical tree

    patrizioa recommends this,

You may see a family or a romantic rendezvous when you visit this small park. It is known for the tree but most of the locals refer to this place as Piazza Marina. On sunday mornings there is a market where you can find odds and ends and a hodge-podge of Palermo antiques.
