Lonely Planet review for Teatro Politeama Garibaldi
Teatro Politeama Garibaldi is Palermo’s second theatre. Designed by architect Giuseppe Damiani Almeyda between 1867 and 1874, it has the same imposing circular layout as the Teatro Massimo and features a striking facade resembling a triumphal arch topped by a huge bronze chariot.

Perfect tourist place
patrizioa recommends this,
This theater is not as grand as Massino but it has a big Piazza where there are many places to eat, drink and shop. On the weekends this place is a big hangout for the locals. The theater itself was originally intended to be an amphitheater but later the roof was added. I would recommend visiting if only for the places that surround it.
