Lonely Planet review for Kursaal Kalhesa
Recline on plump sofas with silk cushions and sip a cocktail beneath the high vaulted ceilings. There’s a roaring fire in winter, plus art exhibits and a bookstore with foreign newspapers. A lively unpretentious crowd is attracted by the good program of music and literary events. Meals (from €30) are served in the dining room or on the leafy patio flanked by 15th-century walls.

Such refined beauty in the midst of intoxicating Palermo.Yes
ducovny recommends this,
I find myself drawn back to this beautiful interior year after year. It's lofty walls are filled with wonderful books and music. Beautifully furnished, it offers a very tasteful cuisine. I particularly like the appetizers which accompany the very good Sicilian wine. I live in Paris and travel all over the world, but this place is special in its beauty and unpretentious elegance. The area, a maze of winding streets and expansive Banyan trees, faces the water and is filled with wonderful flowers, and historic architecture. And the Kursaal Kalhesa makes it all that more seductive. With all it's singular beauty and spaciousness, one feels instantly at ease, at home in this relaxed and friendly climate.
