Lonely Planet review for Marina

Browse-worthy indeed, the Cagliari waterfront is known as Marina and it's the most atmospheric part of town, with little lanes full of artisans' shops, delicatessens and loads of good eateries. This neighbourhood is also blessed with plenty of churches: the Chiesa di Sant'Eulalia on Piazza Sant'Eulalia is the most interesting thanks to its attached museum.

Great for wandering - and shopping

    saraharding recommends this,

Marina really is one of Cagliari's most atmospheric neighborhoods. The streets are narrow, the shops have tiny fronts that beg for you to go in and explore, the restaurants tend to have barrel-vaulted ceilings and good food, and you constantly stumble onto something new. The shopping here is very good and covers everything from souvenirs to food to jewelry. This is also a good place to look for cheap sandwiches and pizza by the slice, as well as ethnic food if you've somehow managed to get tired of the delicious Sardinian cuisine.
