A beautiful and relaxing place to wander
saraharding recommends this,
The Orto Botanico is bigger than you might expect, making it a great place to wander and relax. Bring a book and sit by one of its many fountains or under one of its enormous trees. It has a particularly nice section of cacti as well as a didactic section on useful herbs. If you happen to go on Monumenti Aperti (a weekend in May), you can explore the Roman mining tunnels that are carved into the garden's rock walls.
