Vintage Clothing shopping in Rome

  1. A

    Le Gallinelle

With a tiled floor and marble counter, this well-known boutique used to be a butcher’s shop. Now, instead of slabs of meat, the hooks suspend new and reworked vintage women’s clothes. There’s a sewing machine busy at the back, and selected items can be made for you on the spot, in a choice of colours.

    Vestiti Usati Cinzia

Cinzia remains one of the best vintage shops on this street, owned by a former costume designer. There are jackets (in leather, denim, corduroy and linen), slouchy boots, screen-printed T-shirts, vintage skirts and suede coats, and you can snap up vintage designer sunglasses.

    Omero & Cecilia

In this historic street of vintage shops, this is a wonderful tunnel of a place, stashed full of leather bags, ‘70s velvet coats, tweed jackets, ‘60s Italian dresses and so on. It’s a browser’s heaven.
