Lonely Planet review for Babette

You’re in for a feast at Babette’s, in a chic yet unpretentious warehouse-like interior of exposed brick walls and vintage painted signs. Food is delicious, with a sophisticated, creative twist (think tortiglioni with courgette and pistachio pesto), and the wine list is short but super. There’s a daily buffet (€10 Tuesday to Friday, €25 weekends).

Best Food I had during my week in Rome - A Must Visit

    adamlipson recommends this,

We stayed in Rome for a week. We had incredible meals every day....even by New York standards. The best meal we had all week was at Babette. The restaurant is beautiful - both inside and in their outdoor garden dining. The service was incredible. We felt incredibly welcome. The best part was the food. The ingredients were "to die for", the dishes were both simple and creative. I had homemade calamari shaped pasta with sweet cherry tomatoes and black olives (OMG) and my partner had homemade rigatoni with pistachio pesto. We also had an incredible fennel salad with oranges and an amazing souffle desert. If you go, you will want to go back again. Bravo!

The server was named Daniel. Two sisters own the restaurant. One is the chef and the other is the hostess. They came out to talk to us during the meal. You will never feel so welcome in a restaurant and the prices were incredibly fair.
