Off the main tourist track but near the Colosseum, this airy trattoria is run by gentle staff and offers simple Roman cooking, with delicious daily pasta specials, tasty bruschetta and arostocini (beef kebabs). There’s some outside seating on the leafy yet busy street.

    Wonderful food and setting

    My wife and I were walking up the hill past the Coliseum and spotted this restaurant from a distance. There were tables outside, giving a view of the Coliseum, so I thought we would check it out. Truly spectacular experience, just the Rome atmosphere we were looking for. It was like am upscale tavern with amazing starter dishes and really nice lamb.

    Highly recommended.
