Lonely Planet review for Siciliainbocca
Lemon-yellow and lined in dazzling southern ceramics, this trattoria is sunny in demeanour and colour. It's a great place to sample sumptuous seafood, Sicilian specialities like caponata (browned vegetables, anchovies and capers), and the island's legendary desserts, such as cannoli (fried pastry tubes filled with ricotta) accompanied by pantelleria, the great muscatel. There's another branch in Flaminio (06 324 01 87; Via Flaminia 390; ;Tue-Sun).

Absolutely delicious and exotic.....and I'm Sicilian!

Loved the atmosphere, and the food is to live for! I know we had several different appetizers with anchovies that were off the charts and I had some breaded pasta with a taste of cloves and it was incredible....the desserts were fabulous....and I'm very picky!!!! The wines were great! Highly recommended.

Siciliainbocca - Heavenly food, infernal service
sevenlives recommends this,
Litterally 'Sicily in your mouth'. Everything here suggests the sun of this land: the dressing of tables, ceramics on the walls, ditribution of lighting.
...and food. Simply outstanding cuisine.
On our recent visit we had hot octopus with lemon as entrée. Then fish cous cous, sword-fish roulades, orange salad, a bottle of Nero d'Avola, one of our favourite wine. For dessert we had a delicious slice of cassata. I found myself licking anything that came near it! I wanted to pick up the plate and lick it clean !
The only negative aspect is that service is awful! Expect to ask for things like your bill, etc. and don't expect them to honor any special request. The upside is that this saves you from having to leave a tip !Good for: Romance, atmosphere, food
