Lonely Planet review for Al Presidente

Al Presidente is a discreet, greenery-shrouded place that whispers class, under the walls of the presidential palace. Its sophisticated air is matched by the seafood-centred menu. Innovative dishes include baccalà whisked into polenta and grilled, and trippa di coda di rospo (tripe of angler-fish tail), but it also does a lipsmacking pasta allamatriciana.

    Stay away!

    blubbex does not recommend this,

The food was OK, but they only want to cheat you! A bottle of wine costs 150 euros! Stay away, they are only con-men wanting to dig into your pockets! It seems like a nice restaurant, but it is definitely not. They threatened to call the police when we told them that we thought the price of the meal was unreasonable.

    Good for: nothing!

    Not good for: Everyting!
