The ‘White Hen’ is a friendly, handy pizzeria amid the minefield of tourist trash around Termini, serving thick-crust Neapolitan pizzas made from slow-risen dough. It’s large and airy, decorated in cool pale blue and old wood, with shaded outside seating on a not-too-busy street.

    Our worst meal in Rome.

    atidervish does not recommend this,

    We were in Santa Maria Maggiore's area, some of our guide books recommended it and... Gosh!! Not only the 20% extra charge (no sight or warning of it in any visible place or menu) but... alehop!! ... a beautiful big Italian cockroach in the ladies' restroom. The food was ok, but the word "rip off" is adequate to describe our faces when we saw the bill, not to mention the animal show in the toilette. Avoid it if you can.
