Lonely Planet review for Dolce Maniera

This 24-hour bakery in a basement next to the British School supplies much of the neighbourhood with breakfast. Head here for cheap-as-chips, delicious cornetti (croissants), slabs of pizza, panini and an indulgent array of cakes.

    Magical!

    campbelltash recommends this,

Stumbled upon this amazing, magical little place. Crammed from wall to wall with pastries, cakes, pizzas etc- all warm out of the oven. The custard dohnuts were my favourite at the time but I intend to 'stumble' upon it once more in about a months time on my next visit to Rome to taste the delights! The staff are cute little Italian men constantly serving throughout the night. On a dark street with a metal door with people coming and going you would never imagine whats behind. Walking down (or often cued on!) the spiral staircase with all the smells you could only imagine only adds to the excitment of what you have just found!
