Lonely Planet review for Gelateria Giolitti

This started as a dairy in 1900 and still keeps the hoards happy with succulent sorbets and creamy combinations. Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn swung by in Roman Holiday and it used to deliver marron glacé to Pope John Paul II.

    Just had to repeat it

Fortunatelly, we only went there at the end of our trip. Otherwise, we would most probably be carrying home some excessive weight in our belly: we went twice in a day! All the flavours were great (except for nutella, just because it actually seems you're eating it by the spoon...). Better to go at night, since it's less crowdy. Push yourself to the counter, since italians don't have the concept of queue
    Pistacchio is a must!

    I dare to disagree

You pay for quality. And it's not really more expensive than other popular outlets. The service is fast and friendly and the icecream just fabulous.
