Lonely Planet review
A masterclass in sensitive interior design, this classy boutique hotel is housed in a15th-century palazzo that once belonged to Pope Sixtus V. Traces of the original building have been kept intact so you'll find original stone doorways, antique fireplaces and, in the top-floor executive suite, a low sloping ceiling. The six suites, all named after roads that once criss-crossed the area, boast a chic white leather look and classy designer bathrooms.
Our independent authors have visited Gigli D'Oro Suite and selected this as one of our recommended hotels in Centro Storico.
