Lonely Planet review

Run by a friendly international crew, with the Splashnet Laundry as their office- laundry-internet café, this great little backpackers hostel has doubles, triples and quads, with a comfortable, homey feel. Thoughtful touches such as clean towels, a bottle of wine on arrival and vouchers for breakfast in a nearby café make it an excellent choice. Wi-fi is available, as is Skype. No credit cards. Management also runs the similar Amazing Place, around the corner.

Our independent authors have visited Funny Palace Hostel and selected this as one of our recommended hostels in Monti, Esquilino & San Lorenzo.
