Lonely Planet review for Trambus Open

Trambus operates two tour buses: the 110open and the Archeobus. The 110open is an open-top double-decker bus, equipped with an audioguide in eight languages, that departs from the bus terminus outside Termini and stops at the Quirinale, Colosseum, Bocca della Verità, Piazza Venezia, Piazza Navona, St Peter’s, Piazza Cavour, Ara Pacis, Trevi Fountain and Via Veneto. The entire tour lasts two hours, but the tickets, available on board, from the Info Boxes on Piazza dei Cinquecento and at the Colosseum, are valid for 24 hours and allow you to hop off and on as you please. Archeobus is another stop-and-go bus, which takes sightseers down Via Appia Antica, stopping at 16 points of archaeological interest along the way. These include Piazza Venezia, Bocca della Verità, Circo Massimo, Terme di Caracalla, Porta San Sebastiano, Catacombe di San Callisto and San Sebastiano, Mausoleo di Cecilia Metella and Villa dei Quintili. Buses, which depart from Termini bus station, Piazza Venezia, and the Colosseum, are single-deck and open, equipped with an audioguide in eight languages. Tickets are available in the same places as for the 110open service. You can buy a joint ticket to both the 110open and Archeobus for €30/20 for adult/six to 12 years old (valid 48 hours). If you have a Roma Pass, you qualify for a €5 discount on each of the bus tours.
