    A delicious lunch at Osteria al Gambero

    I would highly recommend this restaurant in order to enjoy the fresh seafood dishes which southern Italy is noted for.The ambiance is not the best.......but who cares.The food is magnificent.For my dish I had Calamari al casuola (stewed squid in a tomato,onion sauce).It left me feeling that it was prepared for a king.My wife had prosciutto e melone. The honeydew was ripe to perfection & was as sweet as gumdrops. Due to the exchange rate of our US dollar at that time(early October of '08),the bill came to about 50 euro which also included a half carafe of house wine.
    If you are ever in Bari,do yourself a favor & stop in at Osteria al Gambero for a real treat.
