Lonely Planet review for Grom
The first-ever outlet of this Slow Food–affiliated ice cream, renowned for organic flavours such as green tea, was started here in Turin. There’s another branch at Via Accademia delle Scienze 4, which keeps the same hours.

His Majesty the Ice Cream
fred_torino recommends this,
Stop looking around: you have found THE ice cream in Torino! Grom's ice cream flavours are simply extraordinary. The selection varies accoding to the season of the year, proposing always new and intiguing choices for the customers. But what strikes you most about this fancy looking but simple ice cream establishment is the unique taste. You can all tell the ingredients they use are just top class and nowhere else you can get such a delicious ice-cream. As their ad goes it's really "the ice cream as it used to be".
During summertime there is no moment of the day in which you can avoid a line to get your cone. And I guess so many customers can't be wrong! Grom might be something like 50 cents or 1 euro more expensive than other decent places but in the end is cheap because you pay no service as they just sell take-away ice cream, like most italian establishments do. Grom is a must-try if you visit Torino spring to fall.Good for: Romance, atmosphere, food, Budget Travellers, Groups, Solo Travellers, service, Families
