Trip advice!

Hi!

Just looking for some advice really. We are travelling to Italy later this year and will be visiting Verona (2 days) Venice (5 days) Florence (5 days) and Rome (5 days).
We have a few places in mind that we would like to visit but just wanted to get some ideas on places to visit and eat etc. Also if you have any rough idea on cost for eating out/ activities etc around those places that would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Apparently Naples, Italy is the place for single female travellers?

Did anyone see these articles that are going around saying that Naples, Italy is the best place for single solo travellers to go? Has anyone been and was your experience like this bloggers? http://neversleepalone.com/?p=4464
It's being reposted alll over Italy right now: http://www.ilmattino.it/NAPOLI/CULTURA/donne-vagina-vai-napoli-articolo/notizie/1138790.shtml

Restopolis - some meals discounts?

We're hoping to travel in Italy later this year and I've been doing a bit of research about restaurant discounts. I'd be interested to know if anyone has any experience of using Restopolis?

Amalfi Coast - Trip Review.

I visited Italy's stunning Amalfi Coast in September of last year and I fell in love with the place. The scenery is dramatic, and breathtakingly beautiful, the food is fabulous and the Italian culture is so rich and welcoming.

Here is my post from the trip along with the photographs, hopefully it'll inspire other travellers!

Place to stay on Lago Maggiore, perhaps, or near to Milan Malpensa

Hello, again, thanks for all the help on the car hire etc.

A bit more advice needed please. We are booked into a hotel in Lovere, Lago d'Iseo, for 3 nights over Easter being the nights of Good Friday checking out on Easter Monday. However, we fly into Milan Malpensa arriving at 6,30pm the previous night Thursday, then shall collect our car there, so we are probably looking at leaving the airport with our car at the earliest about 7,30pm: it will probably be dark early April and we are looking…

Discounted restaurant meals schemes in Italy?

I'm wondering if there's a scheme for discounted restaurant meals in Italy? In the UK, there is the Tastecard for 50% off food or 2 for 1 at certain places. There's Restopolitan in France and Spain which usually gives 2 for 1. Does anyone know of anything equivalent in Italy? Thanks in anticipation.

Has anyone been to the Venice Biennale?

2015 is a biennial year for Venice's art festival (runs from May into November), and I will be in the area in September and thought I might go. I have been to Venice several times, so this time I was thinking of just stopping there for the Biennale. I've been on the website -- http://www.labiennale.org/en/biennale/index.html -- and it's hard to get an idea of how much a person can see/do and in what time frame (# of days), especially since there are so many different venues. I am a…

8-9 days in Italy, trying to prioritize.

Hi all,

My wife and I are flying into ZRH on 4/14 and leaving 4/24. We plan on spending the brunt (8-9 days) of the trip in Italy, but could use some direction as to how to do it. The initial plan is to rent a car for the trip. Yes, flying into ZRH is not ideal for a trip in Italy but it's the way the frequent flyer miles worked, so that part is non-negotiable.

We would like to see Tuscany, Rome, Florence, and Naples. We like food, wine, architecture and she is interested in religious sites.…

Best day trips from Verona?

We will have 3 days in Verona in April and are thinking about taking at least 1 day trip since Verona seems to be a reasonably small city. Where would you most recommend visiting, within around 1 hr travel time of Verona? We will be travelling by public transport and generally like historic cities (and smaller towns/villages), beautiful scenery, good food etc (all the usual stuff!) and we have already been to Venice.

Thanks

Travel costs, Amalfi vs. Sardinia vs. Sicily

Are there significant cost differences with food & hotel costs in Amalfi, Sardinia, and Sicily, or is it all pretty much the same? I'd like to choose the 2 cheapest locations but I can't find any comparisons online. Thanks.
