Getting there & away
The train station (Piazzale Martiri Libertà d’Italia), 1km southwest of the centre, has regular connections to/from Udine (€3, 30 minutes, at least hourly) and Trieste (€3.55, 50 minutes, hourly). APT (800 955 957; www.aptgorizia.it in Italian) runs buses from the train station to Nova Gorica bus station (€1, 25 minutes).
