For rustic comforts, sophisticated food, agreeable service and the company of locals, you'll be hard pressed to top this welcoming spot. There's a lovely plant-filled inner courtyard and the kitchen is more relaxed about closing time than most other places should you have spent lunch seeing the sights.

    Avoid this restaurant at all costs

    We ate here on February 27th, 2010. The food is at best mediocre and grossly overpriced. It is the quintessential tourist trap. They added an arbitrary 10% for service to the bill (not common practice in Florence don't be fooled), increased the price for the wine by 4 euros compared to the menu, failed to bring us potatoes with our meal because they ran out. If Florentines ever went here (we were a group of primarily native Florentines with one adopted Florentine and two Tuscans from outside the city) they would never go back. Seriously disappointed and frustrated by the poor quality and HIGH prices. If you want to be bamboozled definitely go here.
