The almond granita at the Sicilian-style Carabé gelateria gets our vote for the most refreshing concoction on the planet. Produced with sizzling passion by Antonio and Loredana Lisciandro, the shop’s gelati and sorbetti (sorbet) are top quality, perhaps best enjoyed in the form of a brioche (a Sicilian ice-cream sandwich).
