Scruffy and relaxed, this is a tavern where bullshit is barred and the only Irish 'themes' come by way of Murphy's stout, moody shades of green and conviviality by the keg. It gets a lot louder as the night goes on but then don't we all?

    Rough around the edges, but a great local hangout

    The Joshua Tree is generally full of local Italians, which at first could make a little intimidating for us tourists. The first time I went I was definitely skeptical of the dark 'hole in the wall' pub near my hotel. However, after the first pint I realized that it is actually one of the friendliest places in Florence. Not only are the bar staff helpful and willing (and able) to speak english, but I even managed to hangout with some of the locals and get to know them over the few days I was there. The moto of the bar is "your home away from home" and after my vacation in Florence, I definitely recommend it as the go to place for anyone wanting an authentic pub to call 'your place' while away!
