I m planning a solo trip to Sardinia in April 2015 for 2 weeks.
Can anyone suggest places to go/things to do etc.? I would like to do some sort of tour too - either walking, kayaking or horse riding...something along those lines, so if anyone can suggest anywhere to do this that would be very helpful.
Hi - just a quick question.
Advice is there isn't any luggage storage at the Siena railway station, but there is at the Siena bus station. Does anyone know the size of it? Are we able to store our medium-sized wheelie bags there, while we look around the city for the day (and then we travel by bus to San Gimignano late in the afternoon)?
Any advice appreciated.
Sorry this is a VERY general post but I have always wanted to go to Italy and would like to take my teenage daughter. Has anyone done likewise and if so did you have any issues with being a lone female? I would hope to do a basic language course before travelling as it makes me feel less vulnerable if I can at least speak a small amount of the language!
Obviously I will have to do some research on where we want to go but really want to see the historic sites of which there are plenty.
If all goes according to plan, my husband will be working in Citta di Castello for a week and I will be free to do largely as I like. Any recommendations for this area? Perugia, obviously, is very close and I have heard wonderful things about Assisi. We are considering tacking on 3 days in Rome, and I thought I might go to Florence on my own for a couple of days. This will be our first trip to Italy and it's not a place we are likely to return to soon, so I feel torn between wanting to soak up…
Hello, me and my friends are going to Rome on December, 31st.
We want to know whether there is any activity for new year or something like countdown maybe(?), which can help us enjoy the last day of 2014 and the first day of 2015. Will it be lively in Rome around new year? It's our first time to go to Italy so we want to know more before then.
Thank you in advance :)
I am having trouble finding train times from Varallo Sesia to Torino or Milan. Does anyone know any info on the trains from that city? I looked on TrenItalia and Italiarail. Thank you.
I will be visiting Florence from the 25th to the 29th of December. I'll probably arrive at around lunchtime to the city on Christmas day. I'm worried that I won't be able to find somewhere to eat, and that all the restaurants will be closed or booked up. I've tried to make reservations at a few places, but they are all booked up.
Do any basic pizza joints open on Christmas day, or any type of restaurant where I presume reservations are not required? I really want to be able to find…
We're thinking about going to Italy for our honeymoon this coming May. We are seasoned travelers and have always planned our own trips. However, because we are also planning the wedding right now, we are thinking about using a travel agent for the honeymoon so that we don't take on too much planning all at the same time.
For the trip, we'll likely want to avoid the major cities and instead focus on one or two more remote places where we can just relax. We're looking to be in a beautiful place,…
I am thinking about going to Rome next year. End of October, what kind of weather and temperature can I expect, this is supposed to be a romantic trip with my wife, with churches, drinking wine on squares, dining outside, stroll around and visiting museums.
Would this be a good time for it, or should I go earlier, like September?
