Family run, this old-fashioned hotel has real character. The spacious rooms have an air of gentility, with their appealingly haphazard decor, vintage tiles and fine antiques.

A smart hotel snugly housed in a whitewashed 11th-century palazzo. Inside it's all warm terracotta floors and earthenware vases, floral ceramic tiling and wrought iron lamps.
A splendid choice – but not for minimalists – La Tonnarella is a dazzling canvas of blue-and-yellow majolica tiles, antiques, chandeliers and statues.
Overlooking Spiaggia del Fornillo, this is as close to the beach as you can get without sleeping on a sun-lounge.
Marina’s campground – in the terraced olive groves by the entrance to the village – offers an array of accommodation options, including campsites, mobile homes, and (best of all) apartments in a 16th-century tower for two to five people.
This bare-bones operation, just round the headland in Atrani, has dorms, rooms and apartments scattered across the village. Breakfast is included in the price, and there’s a laundry to boot. Doors are locked at 2am.
A working organic farm amid 14 hectares of olive groves, producing olive oil, sundried tomatoes (and paste) and marmalade (among other products), La Tore is a wonderful place to stay.
A short walk from the Bar Internazionale bus stop, this bright and cheerful hostel offers the cheapest accommodation in town.
