    Lonely Planet review

Staying here is like being the guest of a local family in their slightly chaotic, 350-year-old house, outfitted with two ancient cisterns, hand-me-down furniture, a family ‘museum’ and a plant-filled courtyard whose residents include a land turtle, goldfish and lovebirds. Showers are basic. Has a chill-out area on the roof.

    Description provided by property

Abu Saeed Hadj's Hostel was built about 350 years ago, and served as a house for a family of that time.

The family arrived in Nazareth about 500 years ago from Jordan. The name 'Haj' was given to them because they made a pilgrimage to Jerusalem on their way to Nazareth.
