    This upmarket shopping mall in an 18th-century town house is where discerning shoppers quietly visit boutiques, beauty salons and the 1st-floor art, craft and antique shops. The Design Centre and FCUK are also here, as is a great vegetarian restaurant and a wig store. The courtyard Powerscourt Cafe is a pleasant spot to gather yourself.

    Kilkenny is the regional centre for shopping. You'll find an interesting mix of chain and local stores along High St. Market Cross is a multilevel mall behind a row of High St shops. A flashy new shopping mall, MacDonagh Junction, is the largest in the region.

    Wedged between the five-star Westbury Hotel and the expensive jewellery stores of Johnson’s Ct, this small mall has a handful of pricey, specialist shops selling everything from Persian rugs to buttons and lace or tasteful wooden children’s toys.
