Lonely Planet review

This excellent independent hostel offers dorm beds, basic shared accommodation in the camping barn, or a place to pitch a tent. There's a kitchen and laundry, a village store nearby and a free pick-up service from the Giant's Causeway, Bushmills and Ballycastle. It's on the main coast road near the turn-off to Ballintoy harbour, and makes an ideal overnight stop if you're hiking between Bushmills and Ballycastle.

Our independent authors have visited Sheep Island View and selected this as one of our recommended hostels in Giant's Causeway to Ballycastle.

Description provided by property

Sheep Island View is situated on the North Antirm Coast, in the small village of Ballintoy. We are 6 miles from the Giant's Causeway and about a ten minute walk from the famous Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge.

Ballintoy has many walks surrounding the area, and also has two pub/restaurants which provide traditional Irish music several times a week.

Our accommodation is ensuite and there is a large self-catering kitchen and TV/communal room with an open fire. Sheep Island View also has a conference centre which can seat 150 people. With rooms of various sizes, our accommodation is suitable for groups, families and the regular backpacker!

All bed linen is provided.

Please Note: Check-in time is between 4pm-8pm. If you are arriving after this time you need to contact us to arrange for someone to be there to check you in. Many thanks.
