Lonely Planet review
This huge, eight-storey, 18th-century mill building overlooking Ballydugan Lake has been restored as a hotel and restaurant (restaurant opening hours vary, so ring before visiting), housing 11 atmospheric rooms with lots of exposed stone and timber, and an attractive stone-floored lobby with a huge, roaring fire. It's 3km southwest of Downpatrick, off the A25.
Our independent authors have visited Mill at Ballydugan and selected this as one of our recommended hotels in Downpatrick.
