Dublin’s Catholic cathedral is tucked away on Marlborough St – a deliberately inconspicuous site. Built between 1816 and 1825, the cathedral’s facade is modelled on the Temple of Hephaestus in Athens and its carved altar is also very impressive. Oddly, Marlborough St was once the biggest red-light district in Europe…
