Entering (through velvet drapes) the atmospheric birthplace and museum on playwright George Bernard Shaw, an unassuming house on a sleepy terrace, is like stepping back in time to middle- class Victorian Dublin. The ‘time machine’ audio-tour (in several languages) has a wonderfully evocative soundscape full of witty asides about Victorian social mores.
