Lonely Planet review for Government Buildings

The domed Government Buildings, built in an Edwardian interpretation of the Georgian style, were opened originally in 1911 as the Royal College of Science. The tour takes in the office of the taoiseach (prime minister), the cabinet room, ceremonial staircase with a stunning stained-glass window designed by Evie Hone (1894–1955) for the 1939 New York Trade Fair, and modern Irish arts and crafts.
