Dublin’s best-kept pastry secret is this great little cafe in a tough-to-find lane just off Camden St. The easiest way in is through Daintree stationery shop (61 Camden St); out the back is the self-contained yard, which in good weather is the best spot to enjoy coffee and a homemade cake.

    My only hesitation in writing this is that my fave little cafe will become too busy to maintain its cute cosy chill out appeal. Whether you want to relax on your own or have a quiet chat with a friend, this funky little place is ideal. The food is A1, all freshly made and served by friendly faces. But my favourite feature of the Cake Cafe is the awesome mural that covers the wall of the courtyard. Inspiring, cheery & deeeeeeelicious!
