Lonely Planet review
A landmark hotel with a bright, modern appearance and a fabulous open-plan foyer, all of which pleases its loyal clientele – elderly groups on shopping breaks to the capital and well-heeled Americans. Rooms are spacious and well serviced.
Our independent authors have visited The Gresham Hotel and selected this as one of our recommended hotels in North of the Liffey.
Description provided by property
Situated in the heart of Dublin city centre, The Gresham Hotel benefits from its own restaurant, and bar. The hotel offers free WiFi and spacious en suite rooms overlooking O’Connell Street. Dublin 3Arena is 1 mile away.
Each en suite bedroom features an LCD TV, a safe, iron and ironing board and tea and coffee making facilities. The majority of bedrooms overlook the rear of The Gresham Hotel, at neighbouring buildings.
The Gallery Restaurant serves breakfast each morning. Toddys Bar and Brasserie and Writers Lounge serve a wide variety of food and beverages throughout the day.
The Gresham has a mini-gym located within the hotel, however, it does have use of a larger facility approximately 5 minutes' walk from the hotel.
Extensive car parking is available at The Gresham for a nightly charge.
The River Liffey, Temple Bar, and the shopping districts are a few minutes’ walk away. Dublin Airport is 10km away and the port is 2.5km from the hotel. Connolly train station is a 5-minute walk away.
Please note that some rooms look out of the front of the building onto O'Connell Street and can therefore experience some noise due to traffic.
